The 2009 Project Support (PS) Grant Program
PS grant program overview
CAC's Project Support (PS) grant program supports Cuyahoga County based arts or cultural programs or activities that bring high artistic quality to the public and actively promote participation in and access to arts or cultural activities.
Project Support grants are awarded annually and the grant period is July 1 – June 30.

Is my organization eligible for a PS Grant?
CAC's PS grant program is open to Cuyahoga County-based nonprofit arts or cultural organizations that have a primary mission of creating, producing, performing or exhibiting in areas of the arts or cultural heritage for the benefit of the general public. Cuyahoga County-based Units of Government and other nonprofit organizations may be eligible for this program if they consistently create, produce, perform or exhibit in the areas of the arts or cultural heritage for the benefit of the general public.
All organizations desiring to apply must meet the following eligibility requirements:
- Administrative offices are located in Cuyahoga County and have been for at least three years.
- Are incorporated in the State of Ohio.
- Have been in existence for at least 3 years or are a successor to a nonprofit organization that had been in existence for at least 5 years.
- Have an independent board of directors or advisors empowered to formulate policies and be responsible for the governance and/or administration of the organization, or arts or cultural department or program, and its programming and finances.
- Are in good standing with previous CAC grants.
The following are not eligible for CAC's Project Support grant program:
- Organizations currently receiving CAC General Operating Support (GOS).
- Individuals.
- Groups or individuals seeking funding through a fiscal agent.
- Religious institutions and organizations without a separate 501(c) 3 operating its arts or cultural programming.
- Organizations not in good standing with previous CAC grants.
How do I begin the PS09 Grant Application Process?
To be eligible to apply for a 2009 Project Support Grant, every organization must submit the appropriate Intent to Apply form (available for download on the right hand side of this page) and required Eligibility Documentation (see PS09 Grant Program Guidelines (pdf)) no later than January 14, 2009.
CAC staff will notify eligible organizations with instructions for completing the PS09 grant application.
