2009 Project Support Guidelines Released

New grant guidelines and eligibility requirements for CAC's 2009 Project Support (PS) Grant Program are now available for download on the CAC website.

New for 2009 is a two-step application process that includes:

1) Intent to Apply Form & Eligibility Documentation
Deadline: January 14, 2009

2) Application & Supplemental Materials
Deadline: February 25, 2009

Cuyahoga Arts and Culture (CAC) Announces 2008 Project Support Grants: Fifty-Four Cuyahoga County Organizations to Share Nearly $1 Million

The Board of Trustees of Cuyahoga Arts and Culture (CAC) has approved fifty-four grants
worth nearly $1 million for the initial cycle of its annual Project Support (PS) Grant program.
The 2008 awards, which range from $2,150 to $50,000 were announced today during a
special meeting of CAC’s five-member board.

2008 Project Support Grant Panel Review Scores Announced

Cuyahoga Arts and Culture (CAC) today announced the scores received by eligible applicants for its 2008 Project Support grant program at the public Grant Application Panel Review held on April 23 and 24 at Trinity Commons in Downtown Cleveland.

A panel of eight arts and cultural professionals and a non-voting panel chair appointed by the CAC Board of Trustees met to review eligible applications. Each eligible application was deliberated by the Panel and then, by a show of hands, the Panel determined whether to score each application.

2008 Project Support Panel Review Update

The Cuyahoga Arts and Culture Project Support panel review concluded on April 24th. The Panel reviewed 75 applications and moved 58 organizations forward to be scored. For detailed results of whether organizations were scored, please reference the PDF document below.

The Board of Trustees of Cuyahoga Arts and Culture will approve grant amounts at a special meeting to be scheduled in June. Check the web site for updates regarding the date of this special meeting.

75 Organizations Competing for PS Grants

75 Cuyahoga county-based nonprofit organizations will compete for approximately $1 million from CAC’s annual Project Support (PS) grant program through its Grant Application Panel Review to be held next week.

CAC Project Support Panel Review Dates Set

April 16, 2008

The panel review for 2008 Project Support grants will take place on April 23rd and 24th at Trinity Commons. The review, which is open to the public, will begin at 8:30 a.m. on both days.

2008 Project Support grant application deadline Feb 27

January 31, 2008

On-line applications must be submitted by 11:59 p.m. Tuesday, February 26. Paper copies, eligibility and supplementary materials must be received in the CAC offices no later than 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 27. Late applications will not be accepted!

Cuyahoga Art and Culture (CAC) Issues First Grants: 68 Groups to Benefit from $15 million

Cleveland -- Cuyahoga Arts and Culture (CAC) announced today that it is awarding $15 million in General Operating Support (GOS) grants to 68 area arts and cultural organizations. These are the first grants issued by CAC, Cuyahoga County’s regional arts and culture district. The grantee organizations are from communities throughout Cuyahoga County and represent a diverse group of arts and cultural disciplines and budget sizes.

PS grants are annual matching grants awarded through a competitive process intended to support high quality arts or cultural projects or programs presented to the public in Cuyahoga County.

County Commissioners Appoint New Trustees to Cuyahoga Arts and Culture Board

The Cuyahoga County Commissioners yesterday appointed two trustees to Cuyahoga Arts and Culture’s (CAC) board, expanding it from three members to five. The new trustees are Linda Abraham-Silver, President and Executive Director of the Great Lakes Science Center and Christopher Coburn, Executive Director of Cleveland Clinic Foundation Innovations.

Commisioners Appoint Arts and Culture Board of Trustees

CLEVELAND — The Cuyahoga County Board of Commissioners (BOCC) tomorrow will appoint three trustees to Cuyahoga Arts and Culture (CAC), the public authority that will oversee the allocation of the revenues from the 1.5-cent-per-cigarette tax passed by voters last November to support local arts and cultural organizations.
