Grant Programs

Cuyahoga Arts and Culture's grant programs are the means by which it supports arts and culture in Cuyahoga County. Funding for CAC's grant programs is generated by and solely based on the revenues from a county-wide cigarette excise tax. CAC's grants are available to nonprofit organizations located in Cuyahoga County and incorporated in the State of Ohio.

All of CAC's grants are made using an independent Panel of arts and cultural experts from outside of Ohio. The Panel reviews and scores every eligible application based on the published grant program guidelines, resulting in a funding recommendation presented by CAC staff to the CAC Board of Trustees.

The CAC Board of Trustees has committed $15 million annually to its primary grant program, General Operating Support (GOS) for a period of 2008-2010 and $1 million annually to the Project Support (PS) grant program through 2010.
